Your legs get very cold if you don’t have a good base layer. Also gets holes very easily.

The insulation is designed to be light to allow freedom of movement and breathability on the slopes, so wearing a good layering system is key to staying comfortable on colder days. We have just been skiing and they have ripped a few times. The fabric is very thin although my son was warm and comfortable.
